After School Recreation Our recreation center provides children and youth a safe and positive environment to which they can go instead of hanging out on the streets and getting into trouble. Recreational activities have been shown to aid in the prevention of substance abuse and gang involvement. The recreation center has video games, pool tables, foose ball, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball court. Our interns supervise and interact with the youth.
